DEA National Drug Take Back
RAYSAC helps raise community awareness of the dangers of prescription drug abuse and supports proper disposal of unwanted medications.
Red Ribbon Week
A national coordination of drug prevention awareness activities in the Roanoke Valley every October. RAYSAC is the proud sponsor of valley-wide contests and programs involving several school districts in our area.
We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 3:30pm, in person. A group of community members, partners, and stakeholders who have joined RAYSAC to actively participate in community prevention efforts. We would love to have you join us.
RAYSAC encourages teens to take a stake in their own health and wellness, and our programs all include youth input and participation where applicable. After school, youth are encouraged to join our coalition meetings every second Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm. If you or your teen is interested, click “Join us” above and mention that you are a youth interested in our program.
