After Prom Grand Finale is all about encouraging teens to stay until the end of their school’s after-prom party!
The “Stay Until the End” award will be given to the school which has the highest percentage of students who stay until the end of their after-prom party. Because we are using percentages, every participating school is eligible to win!
- The winning school will receive a plaque and $100 to be used for next year’s after-prom party.
- In order to qualify for this award, school representatives must submit both the number of students who attended their school’s after-prom party and the number of students who stayed until the end.
- Representatives will enter this information on the same online form where they will enter the names of their school’s Qualifiers and Alternates.
The “Stay Until the End” award will be announced during the After Prom Grand Finale event.
Congratulations to James River High School on winning the 2017 “Stay Until the End” Award! With 166 out of 169 students staying until the end of their after-prom party, they had the highest percentage of students retained at 98%! Thanks for all your hard work to keep teens safe on prom night! In addition to a plaque, they will be receiving $100 to use for their after-prom party next year.
Of the 7,639 students from participating schools who attended their after-prom parties in 2017, 4,833 students stayed until the very end! Thank you to all the schools, after-prom committees and community sponsors who worked so hard to keep teens safe on prom night! These after-prom parties would not exist without your support and dedication!
