Roanoke Prevention Planning Team

Our Mission
To reduce substance abuse among youth in the Roanoke Valley by enhancing and improving the coordination of substance abuse education, prevention, and resources.

Our efforts and resources are focused primarily on educating and mobilizing our communities, parents, and youth about the problem of youth substance abuse, and underage drinking in Roanoke City and throughout the Roanoke Valley.

Roanoke Prevention Planning Team

On September 23, 2009 Roanoke Prevention Planning Team sponsored the first RAYSAC Prevention Planning Summit from their portion of the Think, Don't Drink Grant Award. Representatives from each of the Prevention Planning teams and RAYSAC along with invited guests met to collaboratively plan Valley Wide prevention efforts.
